This mattress has a back story, and includes 2 guys, both named Jonathan.

(The owner of the company doesn’t even know this page exists… yet.)

Jonathan P (JP) is the owner of Create-A-Mattress.  Since the early 2000’s, he has been building custom mattresses for his friends.

After nearly 20 years of trying out various builds and layouts for mattresses, including:

• the latest in foam encased coils
• memory foam
• gel-infused foams
• soy based foams
• various quilting (Cotton, CoolMax, synthetics, and even wool)
• And so many more options…

JP (the owner) started pretty much always making the same recommendation for a mattress build.

Jonathan K (JK), one of the team members here at Create-A-Mattress, actually got one of these mattresses soon after he first started working here more than 8 years ago. He loved (and LOVES) sleeping on it so much, that he bought 2 more for guest beds.

To keep this story about the 2 guys named Jonathan less confusing, they will hereafter be referred to as JP (the owner) and JK (the guy who does lots of stuff on the websites for the business).

“But why don’t we sell this bed as one of our standard products?” was the question JK asked JP (repeatedly for like 5 years…)

JP said he wasn’t quite sure he had perfected the build just yet.  (JP is something of a perfectionist.)

JK has traveled to 45+ countries.  He estimates he’s slept on more than 200 mattresses in his lifetime (so far).

“I can’t really imagine ever sleeping on anything else as my bed at home.  I still love traveling as much as ever, but the thing I miss most now while traveling isn’t food, or even friends or family.  It’s honestly my bed.  On the flight on the way home, I’m just thinking about getting into this nice, comfy, perfect mattress build.”

JP’s very busy these days.  Running multiple businesses and family life… and SHHHHH.  He doesn’t know that at this very moment, Tim (who has worked here less time, but also loves this bed) and JK, have put up this page to sell this bed.  (He won’t mind.  It’s not a total trade secret… it’s just the perfect build for a mattress – according to people who have had it for multiple years now.)
