What’s causing this problem in the first place?

Mattresses in Boats, RVs, Trucks, and Aircraft usually rest on plywood or other types of flat hard surfaces.  Most of those surfaces provide minimal air circulation underneath your bed.

When you’re sleeping, your body heat increases the temperature of the mattress.  Some of that heat radiates out of the top and sides of the mattress, but a lot of it radiates out of the bottom.

If the surface the mattress is lying on is colder than the mattress itself (it usually is), that temperature difference can cause condensation to form.  And if the condensation can’t evaporate, it can lead to mold or mildew buildup.

How does Hypervent Aire-Flow™ resolve my issue?

Hypervent Aire-Flow™ provides unobstructed airflow by elevating the mattress off the sleeping surface…kind of a like a magician’s assistant in a Vegas magic show. 🙂

When the mattress is elevated, warm air is able to circulate under the mattress which minimizes conditions necessary for condensation.

If condensation does occur, the Hypervent Aire-Flow™ material allows that moisture to evaporate.

What is Hypervent Aire-Flow™ ?

It’s a 3/4″ thick industrial-grade woven polymer material bonded to a breathable fabric.  The material was originally designed for water drainage in parking structures and soccer fields.

Well, we’re here to put that myth to rest (pun intended!). Check out this photo – yep, that’s our reliable moisture barrier material holding up sturdy with two of our warehouse buddies standing atop it (totaling 425lbs!).

And here’s the cool part: in everyday life, nobody’s gonna stand on their mattress like that! So, when you think about it, the weight will be more evenly spread out when you’re catching those Zzzs. *This amount will leave 1 inch on each side not covered by the moisture barrier. For example – we recommend 10 linear feet for a 60″ x 80″ mattress. However, since the moisture barrier is 38.5 inches wide, ordering 10 linear feet will mean you will have enough to cover a 60″ x 77″ space. Our customers don’t notice this in terms of feel, and you will still get excellent air flow to help prevent condensation.

Shipping and handling time

As soon as the Hypervent leaves our warehouse, we will email you the FedEx tracking number. Hypervent generally deliver within 1-2 Weeks from the time of order. Unless requested, FedEx will not require signature upon delivery. Please allow extra days around the holidays or for remote areas. For details, contact us at 888-488-1468.

The Hypervent Aire-Flow™ material will be cut to your desired length, and we’ll roll it up and put it in a shipping box.  When it arrives, it looks like rolled up carpet.

Non-Contiguous States & Canada Shipping: If shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, US Territories, or Canada, please call for shipping costs. Remote areas may be assessed higher shipping fees. The customer is responsible for all customs fees when shipping to Canada.

Genuine Hypervent moisture barrier is only available in a 38.5″ width.
So what do you do if your bed exceeds this width? It’s easy! We’ll show you below.

you will receive one piece.

Place the moisture barrier vertically on the platform and trim off any excess with scissors.

For sizes

42″x80″ to 48″x80″

you will receive two pieces.

Place the moisture barrier pieces horizontally, attach with provided tape, and trim off any excess with scissors.

For sizes

52″x70″ to 54″x80″

you will receive two pieces.

Place the moisture barrier pieces horizontally, attach with provided tape, and trim off any excess with scissors.

For sizes

58″x70″ to 60″x80″

you will receive two pieces.

Place the moisture barrier pieces horizontally, attach with provided tape, and trim off any excess with scissors.

For sizes

64″x72″ to 66″x80″

you will receive two pieces.
